Biography
Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Prime Minister of India. He promoted the White Revolution and gave the slogan "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" (Hail the Soldier, Hail the Farmer).
Obituary
Shastri passed away on January 11, 1966, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a day after signing the Tashkent Declaration. His death remains a subject of controversy.
