Biography
Rajiv Gandhi was the sixth Prime Minister of India, serving from 1984 to 1989. He took office after the assassination of his mother, Indira Gandhi. He was assassinated by the LTTE.
Obituary
Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21, 1991, in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, by a suicide bomber from the LTTE during an election campaign.
